Call for Papers: Special Issue on Reconfigurable Robots

Reconfigurable robots are a class of robots where their configurations can vary or their structures can be reassembled. They can adapt to a variety of environments to complete tasks by changing their configurations or structures. Research on reconfigurable robot is a popular topic during recent years.

Chinese Journal of Mechanical Engineering (CJME) is planning to publish a Special Issue on Reconfigurable Robots in the middle of 2020.
Potential topics include, but are not limited to the following aspects,
1. Reconfigurable mechanisms
2. Modular unit design
3. Connector or docking system
4. Configuration representation
5. Reconfiguration planning
6. Bio-inspired design
7. Origami-inspired design
8. Low cost design
9. Compliant mechanisms
10. Swarm control
11. Variable topology modeling
12. Dynamic simulation
13. Novel fabrication techniques
14. Self-assembly mechanism
15. Self-adaptative mobility
16. Related applications
